Galli AJF45128 Acoustic Flatwound Bass 5 String, Medium Custom 45-128

The strings sound and feel amazing I couldn’t find these strings anywhere else but here and their perfect. My one issue is that the strings turn you fingers green and the low B string’s winding broke will I was putting a kink in the string by the ball end. So, there might be a slight durability issue but it’s probably my fault.

I recently purchased an Epiphone El Capitan 5 string Fretless. I looked for a month for new flat wound strings made specifically for an acoustic/electric bass. A friend suggested I try Strings by Mail.

These strings, although a little pricey ($60) were well worth the investment. The quality is superior to anything you’d find in a Guitat Center or a similar store. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! The selection of strings is just ridiculous! I will look here FIRST before I ever buy another set of bass strings again.

These are the only flat wounds I've been able to find for acoustic bass. they feel very much like the flat wounds I use on my electrics but still retain that acoustic warmth of bronze wrapped strings.

Finding 5 flat wound strings locally was near impossible. It was great to have them delivered to my home. All of my Bass guitars now have flat wound. Which I prefer obviously.
