Cantigas de Santiago was commissioned by David Russell, who gave its first performance at Milton Court, Barbican Centre, London, on 31st January 2015.
The original version (DO 926) is for solo guitar. This arrangement for three guitars was made by Richard Wright for his students at The Yehudi Menuhin School in England.
The first performance of this arrangement was given by Kevin Loh, Daniel Penney, and Sergio Bucheli at St Martha-on-the-hill, Chilworth, Surrey, on 9th October, 2016.
