"Miami Beach" was ordered for Jianhao by the Musicians' Company after Jianhao won the "Ivor Mairants" guitar award. The piece is based on two simple ideas. A coded message from Miami Beach and number 724. The coded message is a musical figure composed of notes B, E, A, C, H (natural), and its right hand finger m, i, a, m, i. 724 is a special number for Jianhao, so I used intervals of 7th, 2nd and 4 vets to generate all the musical material in the play.
