Frederic Hand - A Psalm of Thanksgiving for guitar and flute
Master guitarist, arranger, and composer Hand has embraced all music, from Baroque to jazz, and has contributed to the modern culture in TV and films (Kramer vs Kramer and Sesame Street, for example). This setting of Psalm 100 from the Old Testament begins with a musical dedication using unisons and octaves. The flute entrance reflects the opening words of the Psalm and the rest of the piece was informed by each line.
