Disappointing
Review by RickinStLouis on 8 Apr 2025 review stating Disappointing The major problem with this arrangement is that the alternating bass note goes in the opposite direction (low to high) from the original piano. The change in alternating bass pattern is what sets up the contrast with No. 1. The fingerings are also awkward - not just difficult, but causing a lot of stress on the left hand. I wish SBM would have provided a preview. I don't mind paying for a piece of music but I won't use this one at all. Instead I'll transpose free piano arrangements into something with more natural fingerings and that sounds more like the original. All respect to Maestro Heitmeyer. I'm sure it's a lovely piece, but not in the spirit of the original
