Written in late 2022, "Shedfield Partita" is dedicated to the Roth Guitar Duo

(Sam Rodwell and Emma Smith), who gave the first performance (in the presence of the composer) on 12 February 2023 at the Springbank Arts Centre in New Mills.

Shedfield Partita is inspired by my family environment in the village of Shedfield, a parish in Winchester, in the south of the United Kingdom.

1. Festival: recalls the distant sounds of the annual Wickham Open-Air Music Festival, mixed with the bells of local churches that ring.

3. 3. Waltham Chase: a picturesque region of rural paths that is a source of positive artistic motivation.
