Description: Matthew Ray Chaffin is an exceptional Michigan-based luthier who builds traditional solid top instruments that feature a beautiful tone character coupled with impressive volume. This 2025 guitar has a lovely Swiss Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. It also has black Gotoh tuners with genuine mother of pearl buttons matched by a black MOP diamond inlaid into the headstock. The tone character is clear with a strong fundamental, offering players a charming traditional sound that lies somewhere between the Granada makers and Hauser style instruments. With a 640 mm scale length, this guitar will surely pique the interest of players looking for an easier fret span without sacrificing tone or volume. In addition to the 640 mm scale length, it also features a a comfortable “D” neck shape, 20th half fret, 12-hole tie block, and Gotoh Premium tuners, which collectively make playability a breeze.
