Chrome steel wrapped around a synthetic core, the UkuBass Flatwound String Set enables fast and stable intonation, bringing a warmth and consistency to your instrument like never before. These high-tension Flat UkuBass strings offer a timbre and maneuverability akin to the double bass. Smooth to the touch, the chrome flatwound tape allows your fingers to glide around the fretboard and helps protect the neck from wear and tear. Perfect for fretted or fretless Ukulele Bass. Scale length 23".

NOTE: Before stringing, please check that ONLY the silk portion of the string is to wrapped around the tuning post or the string could break. In this case we do not assume any guarantee in the event of a string breaking.

Never lookin' back!

First, this caveat - I work at SBM. As for the strings, I really like the feel and sound of these on my Cordoba mini bass. FYI, the bridge pin holes are a little small and need to be reamed out & ramped, plus the nut slots need to be enlarged. I'm also a luthier, so no big deal, but if you're not comfortable modifying your instrument, SEEK OUT A PRO!!! Well worth the effort for the sound and ease of play!!

Make sure these are the right strings

I am sure these strings are great but I purchased the wrong set for my Kala Solid Body U-Bass with Magnetic pickups. If you have this bass you need the strings made by La Bella, not these. The packaging is very similar. Otherwise my Strings By Mail Purchases are always delivered very quickly.

Tone for days.

This set of flatwound strings are so comfortable on the fingers and so full of sound. I have used many sets over the years but none can compare with the Galli. Do yourself a favor and try them. Strings by Mail have been great to deal with. Be sure to request the sticker/decal. It is awesome.

A: Hello Mike,
We have not heard back from Galli with an official length for these strings. We were able to measure a set of their UXB810 23" scale U-Bass strings and we found those have an overall length of 32"; we would expect the KA-Bass to be a similar length.
