Can't believe I didn't try these 20 years ago!

I bought these to mimick the sound of classical guitar. It's definitely closer than the normal bronze strings I was using. But I just love the warmer gentler tone. Very nice

Low E dull

I thought it was just me, put a set of D’Addario Silk and Steel on my classic Epiphone Cortez 1965. Immediately noticed the low E was dull, not like the other 5 strings.
I normally play classical guitar, but have kept my 60 year old acoustic. Thought for sure since the D’Addario EJ45C’s are my go to strings for my 2 classicals surely the Silk and Steel would make my Epiphone play a little easier. Easier yes, but low E, not very pleasing. Plan on putting the old Low E back on.
First time I’ve not been happy with a D’Addario product.

Easy on these older hands

Easy on the fingers, great tone. At 63yo with aging hands, these strings sound great on my Martin D-15. I use picks a lot less these days & I use a lighter touch, so D'Addario silk & steels are ideal for my playing style!
