These strings have a clear well focused sound that brings out the best qualities of spruce. They are rich in overtones and have a bright attack without being harsh, and they maintain a full sustain. They also work well with my instrument's particularly fast response time.

The Thomastik-Infeld chrome flat wound strings are the most silent when sliding up or down the neck that I have found and work well when amplified (MiSi active pickup). The Savarez strings balance the TI?s well providing great sustain and dynamics.

Intonation is correct for G (low, wound) and C strings. Original Worth strings (G (ow, non-wound) were off a little.

The GHS DDS325 Doyle Dykes strings are a touch lighter than regular light gauge and are easy on the left hand. They sound crisp and full and retain their tone for a long time.

I think these Dogal Calace Mandolin Strings really help bring out the voice and sonic range of this original instrument. Plugged in with a JJB 220 pickup, I've compared it side by side with some similar mandolin pickup/preamps, and many agreed that mine sounded better.

These nylon normal tension strings work very well for a traditional guitar. They are very expressive.
