La Bella 760N-CB 6 String Black Nylon Tape Wound Bass Strings (43-135)

I purchased these strings to try on my Pedulla Hexabuzz (6 string fretless bass). I'd always used Pedulla Nickle rounds previously, but after hearing another player on YouTube using the La Bella tapewounds on his Pedulla, I decided to give them a try. I've had them on about a week now, and I'm very happy I tried them! The string tension is even from string to string; the low B is tight and clear, and there's virtually no string noise because of the smooth texture of the string surface. Most importantly, the sound is AWESOME! A bit darker than the previous nickles, but my bass hasn't lost it's growl. I'm also finding that I don't have to mute the open strings as much, which is very helpful on a 6 string bass. Bravo to La Bella and StringsByMail.
