Not for me!

Unfortunately, the wound 3rd string snapped about 5 days after I put it on. I don't think I will try a set with the wound 3rd string again. During the 5 days of use, the tuning also did not settle in very well. I was hoping the wound 3rd string would take care of intonation and tuning problems I had with the unwound 3rd strings. I did not notice any improvement. I do like the polished basses though.

Great strings!

I just put the La Bella 900Ws on tonight and what a difference they made! I have tried the 900Bs before and really liked the black nylon with the gold semi-polished basses. The 900Ws offer a wound G string which I had never tried before. I can say I am hooked now after just one playing session. I will continue to order the 900Ws in the future.

Used these strings for years. ....

Used these strings for years. The trebles are nice and bright and will last very long. They are almost identical sounding to the 2001 LaBellas. The polished basses are decently bassy, but lack power and depth. Perhaps the polish makes them a bit life less. You'll definitely be able to find a better sounding bass. The trebles however are clear yellow, so they probably won't look so nice when paired with silver basses.
