Fantastic purchase

I purchased this guitar for my son and it was on backorder at the time. The communication from Matt was fantastic. The guitar came sooner than expected and it’s gorgeous. I’ll definitely order from here again when we need a larger guitar.

Q: Is the LaMancha Rubinito cm-47 built strong enough to be tuned up to A, like a guitarlele? And does the cedar top sound close enough to koa? I'm looking for a mini guitar for my small grandchildren that would double as a tenor accompaniment for my regular guitar.

For playing in A we would recommend trying Requinto strings: stringsbymail.com/more-strings-5/requinto-strings-30
If these felt too loose we could help with a custom set built from singles. As with any experiment you want to be careful while installing the strings. We recommend tuning them up until a step or two below pitch and and then check how the instrument is reacting and if the strings feel too tight. If everything seems OK then proceed with tuning.
