The Muzha Line was the first metro line in Taiwan, and unlike most other lines in the Taipei Metro system, it was constructed above ground. While the Muzha Line has now been integrated into the Wenhu Line, the stretch from Taipei Zoo Station to Zhongshan Junior High School Station remains part of the original Muzha Line, unchanged. I believe the first metro line, along with the world’s first 24-hour bookstore, Eslite Dunnan (unfortunately now closed), represent unique memories of Taipei from the 1990s to the present, which inspired this piece.
