Review by jackdaw on 30 Nov 2021 review stating Unique set. Feel like high tension. Very easy to put on. Hideous branding/design. Bright. Good intonation, Out of the packet, the trebles felt floppy rather than stiff like regular nylon and so they were very easy to tie. Once strung up, they feel taught like a high tension string. Like most carbon strings the diameter is on the narrower side.
It is difficult to evaluate these strings because I put them on an instrument I don't use often. The perceived higher tension may also relate to the setup of this instrument.
Their sound is crisp and bright, and the intonation is good. The G string is clear and not "tubby."
This is the first set of strings I have encountered to feature rectified carbon trebles. Some may dislike the subtle airy sound and the textural feel of rectified strings but I don't mind it as long as my fingers are not too dry - it adds character.
I'm happy to say this new brand produces a unique and high quality product. I'm also curious about their sets specifically intended for scordatura. - but I must say their image is let down by the eclectic and hideous graphic design of the packaging. They are also on the more expensive side. They didn't blow me away on this guitar but I would say they are worth trying.
