Bright, warm, resonant, long sustain, and tight. These gold strings not only look absolutely amazing, they sound and play just as much. Well worth the money. If you haven't tried gold strings before, I highly recommend these Optimas. The Chrome Studios are also top of line strings for half the price of the gold ones. Different sound though, but another must try. They're the ones I normally use. But, the gold ones truly bring my bass to life. Couldn't be happier.
