Great strings, not sound I hoped for.

I had bought these kind to give them a try. I cannot remember which ones I bought last time, but these had a much brighter sound that I'm not too fond of. The strings, themselves, are very good and strong. It's just not the sound that I'm used to. What I loved most about my violin is that strings with more resonance really made a profound sound, which was very distinct to me. It's still wise to try other types of strings, but I don't think I would buy these again. They did arrive in an excellent time frame and they were well packaged, so I really have no complaints other than it just not being my first pick for next time.

Q: do these strings come in ball end for the G and D strings? if so, where can i find them?

A: Hello Al,
I have done some more looking into this and it seems our website is incorrect so I will contact our admin to update the information. What I have discovered is this set-

should be described as loop E string, ball A strings and knotted G and D strings. Thus the knotted ends are designed to be used as if they were a ball. I hope this helps clarify things.

Q: So if i only have a fine tuner on my E string, would i use loop end string for the G and D? Or do i still need ball end for those 2 strongs?

A: Hello Al,
If you have no fine tuners on the G and D strings you are probably better off staying with ball end strings there. If you are not sure about what to use on the E string I would recommend taking the instrument in to a luthier; some fine tuners are designed to be used with ball ends, some with loop ends and some can be used with either.
