Stick with Thomastik-Infeld
Review by Ridge on 1 Aug 2019 review stating Stick with Thomastik-Infeld E and A strings are both steel. G and D are flat wound. GDE were good for the most part. I personally think I get more volume and sustain out of the TI flat wounds.
The A string drove me crazy. It had intonation issues and just sounded dead above the 5th fret. It was also very stiff (The wound A strings just feel nicer).
Must be why the TI strings are more expensive. They have a wound A string, and all of the strings have great volume and intonation all the way up the scale.
