Sor’s Les Adieux in French or La Despedida in Spanish, op. 21, exists not only in a Paris edition of about 1825 but also in a Spanish edition of similar date. It may have been composed in London in 1816 on the occasion of the departure from London of Sor's colleague the violinist Francesco Vaccari.
