TOO STICKY!!!

Naw! Too sticky. Too much finger noise. Tone is great. Really does sound like a double bass. But just too noise. Tree taming it with lubricants and a noise gate. Helped, but not near enough. Save your money and get Thunderbrowns (which I also bought at SBM). They are a much better choice.

A: These should work. They are for a maximum scale length of 20 inches.

Q: Are these the correct "Aquila Thunderguts" stock/replacement strings for the solid body (electric) Gold Tone ME Micro Bass ? They seem to be based on what the Gold Tone website says/shows (https://goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/mbass-string-comparison.php). However your description says, "Designed for a maximum scale length of 20 inches", whereas the scale of the ME Micro Bass is 23", plus the additional few inches needed for stringing, as it is strung "through body" at the bridge end.

Yes, the Aquila Thunderguts are labeled from the factory as for use with a 20-21 inch scale length. I would recommend going with the Silverbacks-

Q: Dear Strings by Mail,

I'm looking for strings for my Kala electric (spruce top) U-Bass, smooth, black, like the ones that came with the instrument. The distance from bridge to nut is just under 21". But the strings need to be longer to reach the tuning pegs.
