Love the strings. Seriously durable and perfect for Old Time open back banjo. Excellent for resonator banjo as well. Super well tonally balanced. Makes even lesser expensive banjos sound great. I keep several sets handy at all times for multiple banjos. The feel is silky smooth with plenty of punch, especially for lower tones. You'll now hear much clearer and far better enunciation of the note in your 3rd and 4th string without washing out you 1, 2, and 5. Even on shorter scale 4 string tenor banjos you have plenty of well balanced tone and progressive tensioning.
The absolute unquestionably BEST string set for 4 string folk tenor banjo and the 5th string gives you a spare 1st string. However, I've never broken a 1st string and I can often be found digging in pretty hard with a flat pick.
Incredibly versatile banjo string when most are not.
