Phosphor Bronze wound strings were introduced in the early Seventies and have become the most popular acoustic string. Phosphor bronze wire is made from approximately 92% copper, 7% zinc and 1% phosphorous. Phosphor Bronze provides nice highs and lows pleasant subtle overtones. Phosphorous is used to help reduce tarnish and corrosion.

Curt Mangan guitar strings have an overall length of 43 inches with winding to 38.5 inches. All Curt Mangan guitar strings are made with USA made wire.

Solid set of strings

Produces good tone from Open D to Open G tuning, so it's good for people that like to switch. Seems to be more durable than the nickel set. Not a bad go-to option.
