Creator Description: "I've tried many string combinations, and the Cantiga Premium basses offer the best balance of power, clarity, good intonation, longevity, and warm tone. Some modern strings have too much going on, and although they sound good at first, they are too much. These basses bridge the gap between modern and old school. The Premium is not a sales gimmick; the difference between these and the regular Cantiga is night and day. They are a stiff but flexible string, which is nice; you can dig in, but they reset back into position quickly. They record well but are a little squeaky initially, so break them in. The Knobloch carbon G is the perfect transition between the basses and trebles and is warmer than most carbon. The D'addario EJ45 b and e are a classic, and after trying trebles from all the big names, I still go back to them. They are incredibly warm and offer more tonal nuance and possibilities than most others. The Cantiga Premium and Knobloch Active Carbon g are extremely durable and long-lasting. The D'addario EJ45 not so much. Be prepared to flip them or use a few sets before the basses and carbon g wear out. A small price to pay for some stellar tone!"
