Creator Description: "I enjoy the faster response and increased sustain of carbon for strings 2 and 3, but slightly warmer-sounding traditional nylon for string 1 (I sometimes use normal tension for this string - though usually hard tension - depending on the playing situation). John williams recommended the lightly-polished basses to me, and there was no going back once I’d got used to them. No squeaking! They don’t last quite as long as more traditional basses, however, so I buy extra bass-sets so I can change them a bit more often than the trebles if I need to."
