Always used ej16s never tried the 11 till the other day. I put them in a travel guitar and they should pretty good

For 5 years now I’ve owned a OOO built from a Martin kit by an anonymous amateur (at least 20 years ag). Not much to look it, but great character in the tone. I couldn’t find the right strings. Phosphor bronze too frizzy. Monel too dull. Silk and bronze sweet but too quiet. Then, for the first time in 48 years of guitar-playing, I tried 80/20. Wow. On this guitar, perfection. Plus the usual fast and friendly service from SBM. Of course, I’m going to buy these again.
