Silky smooth with less tension and sweet tones #1 bass strings.

I love the tone on these strings. I've used them on Warwick and Fender basses and they sound great on both. Best way I can describe them is dark and defined- I wouldn't call them warm or loud but they do have a nice full tone. I play rock, country, funk, jazz, variety stuff and they have worked well for all of those. You have to be careful, the lighter gauge versions of these strings slip out of tune very easily if you do not wind them perfectly- I've been playing a while and it still took me a couple tries. This particular gauge is somewhere in the middle- the super light gauge of these were damn near impossible for me to keep in tune, the heavier gauges were no problem. The overall tone on all of them is similar.
