Dogal R44 Traditional Vintage Flat Wound Round Core Bass 42-100

These flats thump really good, I put them on my MTD Kingston Saratoga Jazz and oh my do they ever sound great. I was hesitant to try the Dogal's are they are more than the average flats, but once I put them on and started belting out some grooves I was instantly sold.

They are the best flat's I have tried and the only brand I will now put on my bass's. I have also tried the Dogal Jaco flats as well and they are stellar low tension flats. Overall I am highly satisfied with Dogal flats.

These strings hands down are the best flat wound strings that i ever played on! They play best on vintage basses because of the tone! But if you’re looking for a flatwound string these are so worth the price for any bass guitar

These have been on my main P Bass for a couple years now, and they have become my all-time favorite string for an authentic "Old School", vintage flatwound tone. The E string took a couple weeks to balance with the rest of the set, but aside from that I have nothing but amazing things to say about these strings. They exhibit a beautiful balanced midrange, "thunk" in the low end, and just enough high end clarity to provide definition. Perhaps its due to the inner wraps of copper (?), but the Dogal Traditional Vintage Flats exhibit a moderate output when amplified and allow you to get your pickups up a little closer to the strings.
Try these if you like Motown, Stax, or other classic R&B bass tones. They are also the smoothest bass strings I've ever touched (and I've tried many, many types from La Bella, TI, Sadowsky, DR, Ernie Ball, GHS, D'Addario... I'm a string junky! )
