Use this to replace the third string

I use Cobalt Power Slinky's (. 011-. 048) and M Steels. But as with most brands, the nonwound third sounds fuzzy on most guitars. So I replace them with these . 022 wound singles. Strangely, doing that seems to improve the sound of the other standard five strings. I tune in standard D (not E).

IMPROVES SOUND OF GUITAR

No matter the gage or brand of strings, the third string on my guitars sounds mushy. So I tried these 22w in place of my 18uw of the Ernie Ball 2720s that I have on all my guitars (except my PRS). This change worked. BTW: I drop tune all my strings by a whole step to standard D.
