Tired of all the over played etudes and studies by Sor and Carrassi? Well, look no further and check out these 24 gems by Ferrer. Although not progressive in nature they are extremely melodic. The studies are a nice little workout for both the right and left hands. Technique areas addressed are chords, arpeggios, shifting, different rhythms and tempos, ascending and descending legatos, repeated notes, thirds, and fifths. They are written in different keys in the usual guitar major and minor--and also B flat and E flat. They all fall into the grade 4, 5-6ish area, shouldn't take too much time to learn, and 3 or 4 strung together in a recital would do quite well.
