These Flat Wound Strings are designed for use with the Micro-Bass line. They provide a tone closer to that of a traditional electric bass while still keeping the M-Bass' signature portability and ease of playing. NOTE: Can be used on ME-Bass or fretless M-Bass (cannot be used on fretted M-Bass).

Ball-End and Tape wound metal, like most regular tape wound bass strings

Perfect for sub-short scale bass

fan of flat

love the flat wounds for my micro bass! Makes a big diff to me. . . . . easy on the digits; slides sound great. Kind of pricey, but when i am playing, i am happy. . . .

Nice for 25. 5” scale length bass

It’s hard to find strings for a sub-short scale length bass—especially smooth flat wound strings. These are wonderful and yes, they do fit the Glarry GW101. Thanks to others who mentioned this!

These DO WORK on electric basses

Great flatwounds for sub short scale electric basses. Have sets on a Samick mini bass and a Glarry. They work perfectly with magnetic pickups due to the stainless steel wrap. Any of the answers to questions on this page that suggest they don’t are completely wrong.

Q: I am looking for flat wound strings for a Kala mini base it’s fretted. The manufacturer tells me it’s the Labella‘s fault that they’re on backorder. Labella tells me they’re out there. Your review seem to indicate that it does fit the mini bass. Thank

Q: are there any TAPEWOUND strings that can be used with a Guild Junior Jumbo Fretless Acoustic Bass tuned down half a step ?

A: The scale length of these strings is 25" from ball end to the nylon wrap so these likely not work for the Guild as it is 23 3/4"

A: Can be used on ME-Bass or fretless M-Bass (cannot be used on fretted M-Bass). So it should work if its fretless.
