LaMancha Rubi s/63 Nylon String Classical Guitar 7/8 Size

Greetings, recently purchased this guitar. was a back ordered & SBM keep me up to date. Was skeptical about having the instrument shipped in the gig bag. matt reassured that it would be packed well and if damaged SBM would replace. great! guitar arrived without a blurp. good strong box taped well with filling inside. cute little gig bag. after letting the guitar set for a few days, tuned it up. played well,its a boomer ! Action just couldn't get any better. workmanship top shelf, beautiful wood. frets dressed and no bumps where the fretboard meets the body. just can't say enough about how pleased I'm with this guitar. am not a professional or gig player though my ear is pretty good and the notes are consistent up the fret board & harmonics good., the tuners are good keeping it in tune and seem well made. this guitar is also most as loud as my C-7! wish I could play a full size LaMancha. The C-7 cedar top was made in 2002. very lite coat of poly on her as compared to the latest models seen in stores around here. they look double dipped in poly... :( I was hoping this would not be the case with this guitar, not at all!, a very thin coat of poly. was leaning towards the cedar top in this model the reviews say its a boomer but am quite happy with this spruce top, tight grain and a 12 hole bridge what more can a person say? Am seriously considering selling my C-7 and buying a full size cedar top with open pore finish. have been playing since 8th grade. have played other musical instruments thru the years, just wanted to establish that am not a crackpot or wowed first time buyer. age 69.

Build quality is excellent. The tone is perfect for what I do. I use this more like a folk guitar than a classical. I bought this because I have a LaMancha estudio I picked up as a camping guitar and I have written well over 100 songs on it. I never realized it was 7/8 size. I wanted something to replace it and the Rubi has become my new stage guitar. I may eventually buy another. Strings by mail shipped right away and the guitar arrived without any issues. Cool gig bag with it.

I play a 640 mm classical guitar but do not like taking it with me on trips. I have been looking for a travel guitar. I have tried several but none did what I wanted until I saw the La Mancha 7/8. It is compact, has a 630 mm keyboard has excellent sound and is a very well made instrument. In its gig bag it is light, easy to carry and so far Delta has given me no problems taking it on flights. I really like this guitar. It is responsive and plays like what it is-a professionally made instrument.
