The SADDLE-A-BOUT is a simple, natural, and non-invasive solution for protecting the soundboard finish and relieves pressure on the forearm.

Each saddle is handmade in USA using high quality genuine leather.

The patented design keeps the saddle off the soundboard so that the only contact is on the rim to minimize any sound deadening effect.

Medium Size - will fit most classical and acoustic guitars with a bout depth of > 4" - 4.5"

Could be better, but it provides some protection and comfort

The armrest is minimally OK but far from perfect. Main downsides:
1) The material is leather and so when it's really worm, the leather occasionally sticks to a sweaty arm.
2) It does not cover enough area of the guitar, neither body nor waist, 2-3 inches longer in each dimension would be better for me and my style of playing.

For the depth of my guitar is 3.8'', I ordered a medium size as there was not easy for me to find clear size guidelines on the website. Later I found that medium should fit the depth 4-4.5''. So the armrest sits a bit loose, but it's not a big deal, as I can move the suction cups' off-the center of the waist.

Saddle-A-Bout ... it's A-Bout time someone made this

I have 2 Saddle-A-Bout Armests and use them all the time. They help soften the sharp edge of the guitar to keep my arm and hand from going numb. It also protects the guitar's finish and keeps my arm from damping the top so it can vibrate and resonate more freely. I use the medium size which fits all of my OM guitars. I have had wood armrests on other guitars for years but this is what I will use going forward for practice, recording, teaching and performances. This product was originally designed and made by a very fine guitarist originally for his own benefit and now we can all benefit from it.

Helps protect against sweat, especially during the Summer!

I have both the Saddle-A-Bout and the Abel Armrest. For any kind of performance I would definitely use the Abel, which is made of hard plastic and attaches to the bout of your guitar with a pressure screw, very stable. The Saddle-A-Bout, a different design, is made well too, but I don't use the two suction cups as the ends protrude through to where your arm rests, which can be irritating. It's great for quick practice sessions though without having to take the time to attach a screw-in device. I just keep the leather piece in place under my arm, which is fairly soft and comfortable, and protects my guitar's finish from sweat, (so long as you don't lift that arm up!) It's small enough to stuff in your pocket!

Good for the price

It’s not professional looking or high quality, but it does make playing more comfortable if you have the problem of your guitar digging into your forearm. I feel this is essential so we don’t cause damage to our forearm muscles or nerves. Great cheap product.
