My 2006 Takamine C132S classical guitar doesn't have side fret markers. These small Rosette Ivory Dot Fret markers are the perfect size for highly visible to the guitarist, yet discrete to the audience, side fret markers. The markers, when applied as directed, have lasted on my guitar for as long as six months. To have the side markers stay applied on my guitar for a much longer time, I coat each side marker with a light layer of clear nail polish.

I installed these carefully, following the directions, and they lasted over 9 months. I just noticed one had moved and the other broke up about a week ago, but I didn't see it happen so I don't know how they got messed up. But they lasted pretty well, so I'm very satisfied.

I played acoustic steel-stringed guitars far too long to not be dependent on Fret Markers. It is such a great visual cue for position. I say, "Damn the snobs! Use them if you need them!" These are easy to apply and remove if necessary. They work.
