Flat wound thump

I wanted to try the old school approach to a strong fundamental tone on my 5string w/ P style pu’s. I didn’t wish to invest a large amount for this experiment & the Power Flats were just the ticket. I’m very pleased w/ the results. Nice playability & I expect the rich sound will even improve with age!

Q: Are these wrapped at the ball and end of the string? And if so what color is the silk wrapping?

A: Hello Kevin,
Yes, these are silk wrapped at the ball end. The set I checked here in the store is wrapped with blue silk, Manufacturers may change the color of the wrap with no notice based upon what is readily available.
