SIT SR18135 Stainless Steel 7-String Bass Exposed Core 18-135

Strings are exactly what I expected. . . Great sound and my tone with these strings are bright like I like it. . . . Thank you professional Bassist Bryan. . .

The lower strings were higher than I usually use (7th string is . 135 and I usually use a . 121). However, these are tapered all the way to the core. This makes the string move much more freely than a standard . 135 string, The lowest 4 strings are all this way.

The tension is consistent and the tone is very piano-like. The tuning is very stable. I'm thinking about switching to these strings for my headless. I just have to make sure the taper is long enough to use with the bridge-side tuning.

The only thing is that I wish there was a tension listing for each of these strings. I'm curious.

First the strings: These SIT Power Steels fit and sound great on my Conklin GT-7 7-String Bass. The exposed core made it easier to thread the string through the string tree / bridge. The tone is full, bright. They hold their tuning very well.
