Description: Joshia de Jonge is among the finest luthiers building modern concert guitars. Her attention to detail in sound, playability, and visual aesthetic results in a powerful modern masterpiece that is sure to win the hearts of players and audiences alike. This guitar is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs, but does have light playing wear on the top and some dulling of the shellac finish in places, none of which affects the sound or playability. This instrument has a solid spruce top with Joshia’s modern lattice bracing, and Katalox (Central American Ebony) back and sides. The resulting sound character is deep, powerful and controlled, with a strong mid presence and thick, full trebles. The guitar is well balanced, clear and focused, and has excellent sustain. It plays beautifully with a nicely shaped neck, elevated fingerboard and 20th half fret. The wonderful Rodgers tuners and Visesnut case add to the overall value. This guitar would be a perfect choice for concerts or ensemble work as it is both nuanced and elegant, yet very capable of filling a large hall.
