Description: Giovanni Tacchi is quickly establishing himself as a world-class luthier, following in the footsteps of his father, Andrea Tacchi. His craftsmanship is exceptional, as are his materials, which lend themselves to creating stunningly beautiful sounding instruments. This particular guitar is based on a Torres design, with a spruce top and flamed maple sides and back. The maple strip in the headstock veneer is a classy touch as well. Sound-wise, it has a golden, warm, old-world sound that is most often heard in the great Torres instruments of the last century. It is clear and pure sounding, with a strong fundamental and even balance between treble and bass strings. The traditional sound and aesthetic is coupled with many wonderful modern features such as a 12-hole tie block, Alessi tuners, and a modern sized neck and string length. This would make a perfect concert or recording guitar for those seeking the old-world charm combined with modern materials and playability.
