String Journal - For advanced six stringed instruments

This is a journal tailored for an advanced player tracking information and observations regarding the strings used on a six-stringed musical instrument. It is designed to be easily stored inside most instrument cases.

Specifically, it provides spaces to write date, material, tension, brand info for each string. It also provides three sections including first impression, last impression (with date), and notes to journal your descriptions of each set of strings. It also provides a space to catalog instrument info such as make/model/age, and owner(s) info— name/address/years owned.

Journaling will help track string longevity and your instrument's response to each set of strings journaled. It is a useful tool for finding the best strings for your instrument and playing. This product is designed to ease that process.

As instruments vary in their responses to different strings, have a journal for each instrument. These journals act as an indefinite companion to them as they can hold valuable info for not only the current owner, but owners to come, guitar shops, and luthiers.

As a lifelong guitarist playing a variety of styles such as: classical, flamenco, electric, and folk/Americana, I have tried an enormity of different sets of strings in both nylon and steel. My playing and studying guitar began at age 7 with Frank Wallace, a player of vihuela, lute, classical and 10-string guitar, who often journaled his string observations. Inspired by Frank and the dizzying amount of string options out there, I’ve been string journaling for years now and it led me to make this journal.
