Good strings but D string has problems.

I've ordered two sets of these 413p (from Amazon) and both sets had a bad D string with horrible intonation. I see one other review on Strings by Mail noting the same D string issue. However, the other strings are GREAT, especially on my Cordoba Stage where the piezo pickup magnifies string squeak sounds x100.

I discovered that a D string from a D'Addario Lightly Polished High Tension set matches the smooth finish of the 413p basses and intonates perfectly with them. For my next set I'll but the 413p set from Strings by Mail and a single LP HT D string from Strings by Mail to avoid buying two whole sets of strings.

Great strings however. . .

The sound of the bass strings are really, really good. Perfect. No fret sounds ! this may be what I've been looking for for a long time. Only problem is I've broken two of them so far. I think it was probably my fault so I'm giving it a pass. I will definitely buy them again. As soon as I get paid I'll order another set. Thank you Strings by Mail!

La Bella 413P

Been playing D'Addario classical LP for many years and now have changed over to these La Bella. I have found them to be far more superior of a string. They have absolutely no string noise where D'Addario classical LP would still have left hand noise. Great strings fair price with great service.

Give them time

I wasn’t so sure about these when I first tried them, especially because of the feel and appearance of the bass strings. However after having these on for nearly two weeks they sound phenomenal. The trebles are thicker and sweeter than most high tension strings. The basses are very resonant and warm when used correctly
