The big brass ring which tightens down and holds the Ball End Rod into position has been modified to provide increased grip, and greater ease for the users. It now has lobes, and is a larger diameter. Together this will make for increased clamping force on the ball and socket of the support column. In short, it will be easier to get a rigid clamping force on this component.
