This set of strings is for Duesenberg Lap Steels in Open D Tuning (DADF#AD) that use Benders on the 3rd and 2nd strings.

This set has a really thick .060 Low D string that helps tighten it up. It also uses the high quality D’Addario NYXL on the strings you are using the Benders on (the 3rd and 2nd), with the 3rd string being a Nickel Plated Steel Wound.

Happy so far

My order showed up in a timely fashion and the included personal touch was nice. Still trying to decide where to put the sticker😉. Got the strings on My Certano lap steel today and so far so good. It’s great to be able to order a custom set. I do think when I’m ready to order again I will request a lighter lower D string. . 060 probably works well on a 25” scale Duesenberg, but seems a little too heavy for the 24” scale Certano.

I can’t believe this wonderful custom set of strings is just a few clicks away.

Troy Brenningmeyer is a titan of Lapsteel guitars. He came up with this custom set of strings for Duesenberg Lapsteel in open D tuning. I tried a set on my Fairytale and LOVE them.
