Great strings for slide guitar

I use this set for slide guitars for a long time now and I love the sound of their wound G string.

GHS "Boomers" Roundwound 13-56

I just put a set of these on my D'Angelico "New-Yorker" today and was totally surprised and impressed at their appearance, feel, and quality of sound. My playing was, for lack of a better word, "inspired"! I've been searching for years for a string that comes close to matching the D'Merle "D'Angelico" 13-58 round-wounds that I played on my 1950 Epiphone Emperor. These "Boomers" are so smooth and responsive that I'm almost inclined to believe that the D'Merle's were, in fact, manufactured by GHS years ago. What a pleasant discovery! Thank you GHS and, as always, Strings By Mail.
