Unique strings that blend the sound of bronze with ease of play
Review by Jai K. on 17 Sep 2023 review stating Unique strings that blend the sound of bronze with ease of play If (like me) you've experimented with using electric (nickel wound) strings on your acoustic you probably know they are more comfortable to finger than phos-bronze, but the tone lacks any highs & lows typical of phos-bronze & bronze strings. These D'Addario Nickel-Bronze strings IMO nicely combine the ease of play of nickel wound strings with the brightness of bronze. They are certainly not as bright as phosphor bronze or even 80/20 bronze, but they do have a nice lively acoustic sound. I like these on my Taylor 414 and GS-mini guitars. Only thing I dislike is that they seem pricey. Hopefully price will come down once other string manufacturers also start offering a nickel-bronze option.
