I needed a saddle for my Martin that Strings By Mail did not have. They could have simply said they couldn't help but instead chose to refer me to a competitor know to sell saddles. The competitor also sells guitar strings. Don't worry, as long as Strings By Mail have prices the same or less than their competitor, I will continue buying strings from them.

Iʻve been using Marquis Ph/Br for many years, they still sound the best. Iʻm also a string bass player so I always supposed any good string should be silk wrapped...

People were gushing about the Elixirs, so I switched to them and they only stayed on for 2 days. I had to go back to the Marquis on my Taylor 414ce Rosewood. I prefer the warmth, and the tension seems just barely enough higher for them to be very responsive. I hate the "b" string on most every brand of strings, but I prefer this "b" to the others I've tried. Anyway, I'm sticking with the Marquis Phosphor Bronze Light 12-54's. They work for me.
