GHS CM3050 Precision Flats Stainless Steel Custom Medium 45-105

Firstly, SBM (James and crew) are awesome to work with. Secondly, these GHS CM3050 (Long scale plus 38" winding length) precision flats are sooo good on my P-bass right out of the box. I tuned them up twice in 30 minutes and they are solid. I would run out to a gig right now after putting them on. Yes the E string winding wraps around the post, but from what I researched GHS customer service says that this is okay.

The strings are satisfactory after installing them on an 1998 American Standard Fender Precision Bass. I may change my review after the bass has been used for at least six months to a year. I do have one criticism: The A string has a different color silk than the other three strings. This is not a complaint of a defect by me, as the actual string does appear and feel that it belongs in this set. This difference does bother me because I prefer the silk color of a set of bass strings to match.

The silk on 3 of the 4 strings is dark purple, the other is pink. Reached out to GHS customer service and they said there was nothing they can do. There are too many great string companies to do business with a company like this

I actually ordered these along with a 38” .126 to fit my 35” scale bass since GHS doesn’t sell an extra-long 5 string set. Quick shipping, and the strings are what I was looking for.
