I had been using the D'Addario high carbon steel and nickel wound custom singles or Dean Markley 1973s. I was turned on to NYXLs as a gift. I didn't think either of my previous mainstays could be bested, but the NYXLs did just that.

Now they are all want to use: they withstand gorilla tactics (smacky taps, over bends, and power chords), produce the richest even-order harmonics I've ever been able to coax, and the precision of the wrap and consistency of the gauge and quality is phenomenal.
