Dogal D114 Charango Nylon Strings 10 String Set in 5 courses

These charango strings have their unique sound, but they struggle to stay in tune. Also, they have a thin sound. It is not a full body sound. The only pro is they are very comfortable to play.

They have a truly fantastic tone, great projection, and breathed a new life into a charango that was previously strung with cheap black nylon strings.

The carbon takes longer than nylon to settle in, so expect to tune up frequently in the days following putting the strings on. They reach their peak of life shortly thereafter, so they have an ideal tone only for a couple of weeks. After that there is a noticeable change, more subdued in sound, but they still sound very good.

I would recommend the Dogal strings over nylon alternatives, especially any black nylon strings

I love the strings. Easier to articulate the melody and fret chords. The charango came with what looked like fishing line as strings and now these new strings make a huge difference. Half of the instrument is the strings.
