Dogal EV105 Evolution Flat Wound Carbon Steel Guitar Strings 9-45

EV105 .009, .012, .015, .025C, .035C, .045C

The evolution of the round wound series to a smooth flat wound string. The dimensional tolerance during production of these strings is held to .02 mm thus aiding to achieve perfect intonation. Thanks to the carbon alloy these strings are made with, the sound quality is very similar to that of round wound strings but with sound quality advantages (purity and clarity) typical of smooth winding.

Other characteristics of the "Evolution System: Ultraflat" Series are the lack of noise during playing thanks to the smooth surface, greater ease of finger movement, as well as longer life compared to round-wound strings.

BEAUTIFUL!

This is my first set of flat wound strings. . I purchased for my Eastman Romeo SC. The decision to try Dogal came after I researched others in the market and from input from other users. I also found String By Mail exceedingly helpful as well. These strings are just what I was looking for. Very warm and beautiful tonal character.

Smooth touch, easy playability, great clarity

I've tried GHS Brite Flats, GHS Precision Flats, D'Addario, Thomastik-Infeld, Galli...Dogal's "Evolution" flatwound series blows everything out of the water except Thomastik-Infeld. T-I has maybe a somewhat silkier texture, BUT Dogal's flatwounds come in lighter gauges with lower tension and easier playability, and the tone of the "Evolution" series is brighter without being piercing at all.

Also, like Thomastik-Infeld, these things LAST.
