Dogal RC148D Phosphor Bronze Round Core Acoustic Guitar Strings 12-54

Round core phosphor bronze clarity and sustain .

Initially my reaction to the Dogal RC148D light gage (12 - 54) strings is positive. They have a warm tone, are balanced, and are easy on the hands owing to the round flexible core wire. The one caution when using round core strings is that when installing them one needs to guard against the wrap wire losing tension and the strings going dead and out of tune when you trim the string to the desired length. So far they seem to be quite good strings.

My 2nd review of the Dogal round core.. I put three sets of the 12's on my Om guitars and a set of the 13's on my slope shoulder dreadnought .. Had them on for three weeks and they still sound great .. They stay in tune , easy on the fingers and sound sublime.. Probably the best round core strings out there.. :)

From my experience of buying Dogal round core strings, they are hit and miss. My last two sets one would not sat in tune and the bass strings would go sharp easily and the second set is perfect .. And yes I know all about round core strings. I buy them exclusivly for my acoustics and always bring them to pitch and leave them for a day or so before i cut the ends off. Thomastik spectrums are always perfect but cost twice as much as Dogals but are not quite as bright so i buy the Dogals when i want a ittle morre brightness..

Like the John pearse much better. The treble seems muted with these. Disappointed. Going to take them off.
