I decided these strings might be a good choice for my Collings D2H A Traditional dreadnought. The split gauge which use medium strings for the E, A and D strings and light gauge for the G, B & E had a surprisingly balanced sound for this guitar. And it made playability definitely easier. The E, A and D provide all the desired bottom end you'd expect on a dreadnought and the lighter strings don't produce a noticeable drop in volume but increase ease of playability, especially when played fingerstyle. The strings have very low finger noise which would be a big plus for recording purposes. The also keep their tone for a long time. All in all an excellent choice.
